Laser Cutting

Laser Cutting

Metal laser cutting is an indispensable part of modern manufacturing. It involves focusing a laser beam to cut material, typically using CO2 or fiber lasers. The technology enables cutting, drilling and processing of the material.

Laser cutting machines focus a high-energy laser beam onto the material, cutting it by heating or vaporising it. Cutting precision and speed depend on the intensity and focus of the laser.

It can be used effectively on steel, aluminium, stainless steel, titanium and many other materials, across a range of thicknesses. It is widely used in the automotive industry for body and engine parts, and in construction and manufacturing for cutting and shaping structural materials.

Compared with plasma cutting, which uses a high-temperature gas jet, and waterjet cutting, which uses high-pressure water, laser cutting delivers finer, more precise cuts. Its precision, speed and material versatility make it the preferred choice.
